Madame Tussaud's Sydney, and making good on threats.

Last week I was lucky enough to be invited to The official opening of Madame Tussaud's Sydney, at Darling Harbour.
The invitation stated that I could bring my kids, which is great..Especially because it was the School Holidays.

I told you about these School Holidays right?

I used the invitation as currency with my kids for a while, because I'm not beyond a good bribing.
Then I made a threat I would have to go through with.

"You don't stop the fighting, and I am going to Madame Tussaud's Sydney without you..."

Someone... Who shall remain nameless... Threw a shoe at their sibling about seventeen seconds after I made this threat.

So I did what any mum must do in this situation, I made a huge song and dance about them NOT going, and then I called my sister.

They left me no choice.

The words Champagne breakfast and Jonny Depp were heard over the similar child noise of her house, so with that, a sisters date was made.

We were off to a wonderful place...

A Place that we could get in and out of the car, without car seating children, a place that we could walk as fast as we want to..

Yes, It's a shame the kids couldn't behave.

I regret nothing.

Madame Tussauds Sydney is next to Wild Life, Aquarium Wharf, Darling Harbour.

Prices from $17.50 when you book online.
Walk Up prices ADULT $35 Children (4-15yrs) $20.00

Good on you Emma so many parents carry out endless and pointless threats! It's mums like you that I aspire to be! Well worth the lesson learnt you can have more of an impact by not doing something! Keep it up!

Movie was brilliant but at the end I would have loved to see a picture of the kids faces when you showed them what they missed out wait that would be mean hehehe :)

Shoe throwing is positively encouraged in our home, it's a sign of affection. We don't say I LOVE YOU, we say I SHOE YOU at the moment of impact - the bigger the shoe the better!
